Challenge your Little Explorers to create a sculpture inspired by the amazing sand art you can find in Rio de Janeiro!

Skills Developed:

Sensory Exploration: sand texture, levels of moisture

STEM: Filling and emptying, creating stable structures

Fine Motor: scooping, scraping, spreading, smoothing, etc.


Supplies:

Water

Spray bottle for water

Other small manipulatives such as large glass beads, stones, or shells.

**NOTE: Small manipulatives may pose a CHOKING HAZARD to small children. Adult supervision is required.**
